We don’t get a lot of cold weather in Florida, but the cooler weather in our northern states often means that kids will be cooped up inside more than normal. In my experience, kids that are cooped up with nothing to keep them busy often end up getting into trouble. As I mentioned before, my son has Sensory Processing Disorder, so I like to find sensory themed activities that will keep him busy and that he will find enjoyable. He is a sensory seeker, so he loves things that he can do with his hands. Many of these activities can utilize all of their senses. Kids can count, sort, touch, smell, and in some cases taste the items that they are working with. This list of 20 apple themed sensory & fine motor skills activities is not only fun, but it will keep the kids busy and allow them to work on their fine motor skills. Win, win for everyone.

These look like some fun crafts. My granddaughter is two and we have been looking for the activities to do that will help with her fine motor skills. I definitely am going to try a few of these, especially the play dough.
These are great craft ideas for the kids. I know my teacher friends could use these in their classrooms.
These are so fun. My niece would have a blast doing this. She loves anything that she can learn from.
These are such cute ideas! I cannot wait to make some of these and try them with my daughter.

These look like so much! We live on an apple orchard so I love this for the kids!
My son also has a sensory processing disorder. It comes with the autism territory and he was diagnosed almost 30 years ago before there was a lot of help in my neck of florida. I remember having to do research and making these kinds of things for him – before the internet was really available much beyond compuserve. Thanks for sharing.
A lot of great activities listed. I think the fingerprint apple counting activity would be my son’s favorite.
Love all of these fun hands on activities! I especially love using the apples to stamp apples! This is a great way for kids to make real life connections.
I am going to save this. I am always looking for seasonal activities for my kids!
