5 Signs You’re Consuming Too Much Sugar

Consuming too much sugar could be destroying your health. It can increase your risk of developing diabetes, heart disease and various cancers. Many of us don’t realize just how much sugar we’re putting into our bodies – ideally men should be consuming no more than 9 teaspoons of sugar, while women should be consuming no more than 6 teaspoons. The fact that sugar is in so many foods that we eat makes it hard to judge how much we’re consuming. Below are just a few signs that you may be consuming too much sugar.

Tooth decay

A lot of bad habits can destroy our teeth from smoking to simply not brushing them, however the biggest offender is consuming too much sugar. Sugar causes bacteria to thrive in the mouth, resulting in rotten teeth. Once serious decay has set in, there’s not much you can do to save your teeth.
