Tissue Paper Easter Egg Garland
Materials:
This is a fun craft that is super easy to make and you probably have most of the supplies in your craft drawer. I don’t know about you but I always have a ton of tissue paper left over so now I found a fun way to use it.
- Colored cardstock
- Tissue paper in various colors
- White school glue
- White twine or rope
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Instructions:
Start by cutting out Easter egg shapes from the colored cardstock. These will be the backing for your tissue paper Easter eggs, so it does not matter what color cardstock you use. Make a template form the first shape you cut out, so that all of your other shapes are the same size.
Tear the different colors of tissue paper into small strips and roll them in the palm of your hand to form balls.
Place some white school glue on one section of one of your Easter egg cardstock cutouts. Press the tissue paper balls into the glue and form them to the shape of the cutout.
Continue to add glue one section at a time until the entire Easter egg shape is covered.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have covered all of your Easter egg cutouts. You can make some multi-colored, and some all one color for variation in your garland.
Glue some white twine or rope to the back of each tissue paper Easter egg. Be sure to leave some space in between one egg and the next.
What an adorable and fun craft! I will definitely have to do this with my littles. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
