Valentines Day For The Hopeful

Valentines Day for us single gals can sometimes be a sad, lonely time. When I was younger, I used to do this day as a way to celebrate friendships with my “Galentines” but as I got older and became a mom I began to think differently about Valentines Day. Now, I choose to celebrate the love that I have for my children but also remain hopeful that one of these days I will find the love that I have been searching for. I’ve been single for most of my 48 years and I’m not about to give up my idea of the perfect man. For me that doesn’t mean that he’s looking like Jason Mamoa or anything but just that he loves me for me and accepts and loves my children the way that I do. So, yes, I’m hopeful that one day I will meet a man that will do just that!  But for today, I will eat the chocolates that I bought for myself and remember these 7 things because I’m thankful for the life that I have created.

Update for 2023: I finally met the man of my dreams so I, want to let you know that there is HOPE. For all of us! Don’t give up on what you really want because you deserve to be happy WITH/OR WITHOUT a man.

Things for the single ladies to remember this Valentines Day…

You’re beyond BRAVE because you choose to walk thru life on your own, rather than with someone who is unworthy of you.

You’ve CREATED a life that you LOVE, no need to be rescued from it.

You LOVE when you’re ready, not because you’re lonely.

You refuse to apologize for how you CHOOSE to live your LIFE.

You have to learn to LOVE YOURSELF before someone else can love you.

Your happiness, love and self worth are not dependent on your relationship status.

SETTLING IS NOT AN OPTION
